What must a student do to earn a retake on a summative assignment?

The student must demonstrate a good faith effort to master the knowledge or skill being assessed when he or she takes or completes the initial summative assignment.  To be eligible to retake a summative assignment, a student must complete a plan of corrective action designed by the teacher within ten school days of the return of the initial summative assessment to the student.  Corrective action includes, but is not limited to, individual tutoring, completion of all formative assignments not yet completed, student and teacher conferences, and analysis and correction of the initial summative assignment by the student.
