Dear Students and Parents,
We hope your summer vacation is proving to be a good break and you are enjoying the warm weather and time with your family. We are busy preparing for the opening of school, and school bells will be ringing sooner than you think. The Campbell team is excited about the new school year and preparations for academic and co-curricular programs are well underway. This mailing is a reminder that most of our communication will be done by Blackboard and e-mail. Please update your current e-mail address on the data update form which will be sent home on the first day of school with your student.
Guidance Department: Your schedule of classes will be e-mailed on Tuesday, August 5th. If you do not have a Blackboard Connect email address, we will mail your schedule. Seniors wishing to apply for Late Arrival/Early Dismissal may download a request form from our website www.campbellhs.org under the Guidance link, and return it to guidance prior to August 21st. If this form is not completed by the start of school, students will be assigned to a study hall.
Please be advised that student schedules for the 2014-2015 school year will be e-mailed home on Tuesday, August 5th..
SENIORS ONLY are able to come in to guidance on a walk-in basis on Thursday, August 21st & Friday, August 22nd to resolve
any conflicts and to apply for Late Arrival/Early Release.
All other students should contact the guidance office by phone (546-0308) beginning on Tuesday, August 19th to set up an
appointment with a counselor.

Classes begin Tuesday, September 2, 2014 with advisory beginning at 7:35 am sharp. Advisory rosters will be posted in the lobby for grade 9 students and outside the cafeteria for grades 10, 11 and 12. Students should report directly to their advisory by 7:35 am. Plan on a Day 1 schedule. Dismissal will be at 2:23 pm.
Freshmen are reminded that Welcome Freshmen Day is on Thursday, August 28, 2014 beginning at 9:00 am and ending at 1:15 pm. A Welcome Freshmen Day letter and a special bus schedule for Welcome Freshmen Day are being sent to freshmen and their parents. Freshmen will meet their advisors, move through their first semester class schedule, and have a barbeque lunch. A schedule for Welcome Freshmen Day will be provided to freshmen when they arrive on August 28. We are excited to welcome Class of 2018! See attached Welcome Freshmen Day letter.
Parking Permits: Students who purchase parking permits will be assigned a numbered parking space. As in the past, students must be free of outstanding CHS obligations, including books, fees, athletic equipment, etc., in order to purchase parking permits. (Invoices will be mailed home in July/August to students who have outstanding CHS debt.) To purchase a parking permit, students MUST bring:
Their valid New Hampshire driver’s license
The vehicle registration of the car they will be driving
Current proof of automobile insurance
The fee is $100.00 (Checks may be made out to Campbell High School)

There are a limited number of parking spaces. They will be issued first come, first served as stated above.
Bus Passes for Campbell students may be purchased at Campbell High School in the main office on Tuesday, August 19, 7:00 am - 12:00, and on Wednesday, August 20, 12:30 - 3:00 pm. For your convenience, you may mail your payment to CHS, and the bus pass(es) will be mailed to you. Please include the student’s name and address. The cost is $100.00 for the school year. Checks may be made out to Campbell High School. Students living more than one mile from the school (*note: walking distance to the nearest assigned bus stop may be up to one mile) are eligible to purchase the bus passes. The bus numbers and schedules for each school will be in the HLN, and posted at the high school.
Student Photo Day: Wednesday, September 17th during the school day. Picture forms will be sent home with students prior to picture day. Photo retake day is scheduled for Friday, October 24th.
CHS Open House: Thursday, September 18th at 6:30 – 8:30 pm. Please keep this date available. More information will be e-mailed home in September.

NATIONAL ART & WRITING AWARD IN NY CITY:
Art Educator, Denise Freeman and Art Student, Emily Thorpe attended the National Scholastic Art and Writing Awards Ceremony at Carnegie Hall in New York on June 6 at 6:00PM. Emily received her Silver Medal for an acrylic painted titled, "We are Beautiful". Over 3,000 people attended and special guests were artist, Kay WalkingStick, writer, David Strathairn and comedian, Nick Cannon, who received a Scholastic Award during their youth. Art educators, students, and parents, were all recognized at this prestigious ceremony. The weekend was filled with many activities all centered around the Arts in Manhattan!
